Cheap Light
I just got back from a weekend trip to San Luis Obispo to see my good friend Joe get hitched. While I was there, a group of friends and I stopped by a local supermarket to find cheap CFLs (compact fluourescent lightbulbs) - 4×100W equivalent bulbs (actual draw ~23W) for $0.99. I purchased 2 packs of the 4 bulbs for later use, and so did my other good friend David.
It seems that PG&E is footing some of the bill through a special program - something I wholeheartedly support to spur the further adoption of these bulbs. I would like to take this opportunity to give kudos to PG&E for this.
If you’re in SLO, you can find these bulbs at Scolari’s Market on Johnson and Marsh. If you’re not, look around - you might find similar programs!
